What Is Cupping Therapy ?
Cupping is a type of pain-relieving therapy. Cups are suctioned into the skin during cupping to relieve pain, promote relaxation, enhance blood flow, and reduce
inflammation.
As the air in the cup cools, a vacuum is generated, causing the skin to raise and the blood vessels to enlarge. During the cupping technique, the cups are moved over various regions of the body to elevate and separate tissue. Cupping relieves muscle tension, releases trigger points, stimulates lymphatic flow, improves circulation, and breaks up scar tissue adhesion.
Evidence supports cupping as an effective treatment technique for many disorders, such as chronic neck pain, low back pain, and fibromyalgia.
This treatment has many advantages. It can improve your skin’s health, reduce respiratory difficulties, and even help with digestion. It is also used to hasten recovery and alleviate the symptoms of some accidents and illnesses.
It is important to be aware that cupping may cause circular bruises that can last up to two weeks on the skin. Bruises usually repair themselves over time, and they are not
something to worry about!
